Smartphone
The smartphone is a helpful tool to access many useful things, such as market prices or getting in touch with the police.
Overview
You won't spawn with a smartphone and you will have to buy it first. You can buy it from the General store for around 1.000$.
Having a smartphone can have different advantages. For example you will be able to write Player Messages, have a look at the Dynamic Market, make an Emergency Call and have a look at the Black Market.
You can open up your smartphone via F2 (PC). If not, please check your Controls.
For Xbox:
- You enter your inventory screen
- Press Y on the item you want to quick slot
- You then press Y again on the bar on the bottom of the inventory screen (where your map is)
- To access your phone, you hold the button that looks like 2 windows, you then use the Left Stick to hover your phone and release the stick when your hovered over it.
Messenger
Here you will be able to write Messages to other players on the server. As soon as you opened up the Messenger-App, you will see your recent chats. If you haven't had a chat yet, it will just be gray for you.
In the top right corner you will have a "Plus" symbol. If you press it, you will see every player on your current server. Select a player and type your initial message below. After that, press "Create Chat and send". Now you've sent your message to your selected player!
If you recieve a message, you will hear a notification Sound.
Now you won't have a grey space anymore and will find your chat you've just created back in the messenger menu. You can have a look at the pictures below.
Market
After you opened the app "Market" you will find all goods available on the server.
At the moment there are 9 legal goods that you can gather.
- Copper
- Iron
- Silver
- Gold
- Wooden planks
- Firewood
- Canister (petrol)
- Honey Blue
- Honey Red
You can also see their current prices if you select them.
Emergency
If you open up this App, you can send an emergency call.
At the moment you only can send the emergency call to the police.
You will have different reasons to choose from:
- Robbery
- Hostage taking
- Active shooting
- Unconscious person
- Injured person
- Accident
- Psychological problem
- Other...
After you chose your kind of dispatch, you can also write a text with infos in it.
After that you can hit "Create dispatch" and your dispatch has been made. A police officer will arrive soon or may contact you.
Black market
You won't have this app on your phone if you buy it the first time.
To get this app installed, head to the drug dealer. You will have to interact with him and "buy" this app. It will cost you 50.000$. After that, you will have it on your Smartphone permanently.
It works the same as the normal Market-App. The only difference is that you only will see the current 3 illegal goods on this server.
Banking
With the recently released v.0.2.158 update for our Arma Life server comes a banking app exclusively available only on the in game smartphone.
The banking app is a very easy and fast way to transfer money to other players/friends in need of cash. With this new banking system, you won't need to go all the way to a market to take some cash out for a friend, also if that player/friend isn't in close proximity to you during the transfer, unlike giving cash to players, it wouldn't matter. Whoever your transferring money to can be as far as Pluto, so long as you have the money needed to make the transfer. (Transfers can only be made by transferring $1000 minimum.) The only flaw to transferring via our in game banking app is the fact a small fee will be taken out upon transfer; it's nothing big, but it's the only flaw to transferring via the app in comparison to giving cash.
How to transfer money in the "Banking" app
Assuming you have a smart phone at this point, you simply want to hotkey it, then open the banking app, from here you want to select the player your transferring the money to, then you'd want to input the amount ($1000 minimum transfers), then simply press the button it says to transfer. The player that received the money will get a pop up notification in the top right of their screen, you'll also get a pop up notification stating how much you sent and the fee taken out and handed to the bank.

Over Fuel
With the update in September 2023 the over fuel app is available for level 10 refinery workers.
With this app, workers have the possibility to check the current fuel demand for every gas station and mark the gas stations on the map.
